Born in Brazil in 1979, Rafael Pinho took up photography after finishing his Architecture studies. He set out as a free-lancer in 2005 in Belo Horizonte and spent the following years between Berlin and Reykjavík, finally moving his base to São Paulo.
His editorial work has appeared in Modern Painters (US), Forum AID (Sweden), FFW Mag! (Brazil), Nýtt Líf (Iceland), Trip and Tpm (Brazil). Commercial clients include Almap BBDO, Neogama BBH, Loducca, Jónsson&LeMacks, Atli Hilmarsson, Fíton, TBWA Berlin, Playboy, Whiskas, 66ºNorth, Mundi and the Center for Icelandic Art.
